When is a Mustang a 64 1/2?

Many early 65's carried over a bunch of 64.5 parts. See if your seat pans have the oval cut out. The spare tire carrier will likely be the carriage bolt type. See if the air vent on the drivers side has a large "A" on it. The core support has vents cut infront of the battery if the car had a generator, 3 louvered type vents, not stamped holes. Headlight buckets had the upper inner edge beveled to fit the 64.5's lip but they used the buckets till they ran out so you could have one 64.5 style and one 65 on the same car.

By the picture you look to have a aluminum water pump, which means it likely has the goofy from timing cover and maybe the 64.5 style engine mounts.

It does have the early cast motor mounts. I don't have any headlight buckets or hood. The core support has the stamped holes and not louvers. I haven't looked at the seat pans or under the dash yet.
Thanks for the info!!!
