putting in the headlight harness?? Basically I need to know what I need to take apart to get at the headlight and parking light sockets, and to runthe wiring??? thanks...

What year car are we talking about again? In the pic bellow all the blue is my harness on my 67. It clips to the lower part of the radiator support. The headlights / parking lights have their own pigtails and would just be socketed together. Might be hard to do with the grill in, but should be mostly manageable from underneath. When i had mine all apart thats when i did it. Hope that helps.

It's pretty straightforward. Disconnect the battery, and then disconnect the main plug at the firewall. Then follow the thick cable along its length, disconnecting it from the firewall with the little clips. To remove the headlamp connectors, you'll have to remove the headlamps and any "doors" that cover the headlamp area. Behind the headlamp, you'll see the connector for the parking lamps. At the driver's side headlamp area, the harness goes through the lower radiator support channel. Once you've disconnected the passenger side connectors, tie a long string to it, and then snake that portion of the harness through the lower radiator support, leaving one end of the string on the passenger side. Untie the driver's side string, and when you're ready to install the new harness, simply reverse the procedures.

That looks good lethal, when you gonna do a build thread? Now that it's legal and all... and is that a 53 Vette?

Good god, the headlight harness is much more complicated than I remembered. Making one from scratch ain't a gonna be no fun, but I guess you gots ta do what ya gots ta do. After all, they didn't make a 10awg harness with H4 plugs and relays back in 1965. :rofl

Sorry for the hijack lleno, its a 54 craig that was left to a buddy when his grandfather passed. The family never even knew he had it. Build thread, maybe one of these days.

straight six, with a 6 pack, pretty wicked in its day i guess. Its worth some bucks, its a documented racer with build and race data from Yenko. In fact, yenko sold it directly to my friends Grandfather. Not only does he have the car, but almost two complete sets of NOS OEM chrome, still in factory rapping.

I have some better pics some where, but cant seem to find them. Its about to undergo a complete restoration. The just got done building a body jig to hold the shell. Lots of time put in already on it, just in the prep work.
