I'm considering selling Shag's original toploader which will need rebuilding. Any idea what it might be worth as is. And if I had it rebuilt?

What's a used toploader worth?

12 years ago a put a RUG-AW on ebay starting the bid at under 200... got almost $600 for it... that is with all of the internal gears pitted and rusty requiring a rebuild. If you have the original tag it may just be worth more than the average if it crosses over to what one of the higher performing Mustangs used.
Most are now going for $750 on up for normal toploaders. Some models, such as for Boss302's and such, command higher prices.

It should have the VIN on the bottom. If it matches Shag's VIN, you might want to keep it. You never know if you may want to put it back in. I'm keeping mine for that reason. I got a big plastic bin for it, it fits nicely inside.
