What Can I Say, Times are Tough...

Did something I never thought I would do today...
Bought a used sealed beam headlight at the junkyard. :wtf :roul

Actually, it wasn't THAT bad. :roll
Found a really nice 85 Lincoln Continental that had a TON of clean, original parts on it, including the full set of correct OE headlights for my Saleen (one hi-beam had been replaced on my car). Also had the correct oil cap, radiator cap, date-coded plug wires, etc. I pulled about $20 worth of good parts... :skul

The local pick-n-pull has become my after-work relaxation therapy lately. I go about every 2 weeks - best $2 worth of entertainment going. BTW, they had a 63 Falcon and a 67 Galaxie 2-door this week too. :hide

What no pictures!

I love those Galaxies. I drove one in High School.

You are taking me back to the late 80's - early 90's when I would help my GM buddy search the yards for T3 Headlights (OEM on late 60's-70's GM)... most yards would give them to us... my buddy stockpiled them in his basement and sold them recently on Ebay for good money...

My local PickNPull changes its inventory about every 3 months, so I try and go every 2 months or so. I love it! I can find wiring connectors that are now obsolete and the place nearly gives them away! I find mostly early 70's Ford Trucks in stock that I can use, although last week they had a 78 Granada (of course, the disc brakes were long gone...).
