Craig did you know that Ertl offered them in 1/18 diecast versions (both the Mach I and the Torino)? The diecast Mach I was originally offered in three versions. One was general issue and limited to something like 6500. This has since been re-issued. The next was a more desirable version that was serialized and limited to 2000. They came with the serial number embossed on the bottom and a matching, signed serial number card. They are more desirable, pricey and hard to find. I got fortunate enough to locate one on Ebay for cheap money.........and got #0032!. The BIG dog, top dollar car was limited to only 96 issued. Why 96? Because that's how many were originally produced of the real deal. The BIG significance though on the diecast replicas is, each car received the real VIN of a car embossed on it. When you got one, it's the ONLY one with that VIN on it!! My luck ins't that good to find one and my pockets aren't deep enough to afford one should I ever find one!

p.s. I have a Torino Twister Special in my collection too. Since I had the Mach I, I HAD to get the Torino for a complete "set". They can also pricey and hard to find (found it for cheap too! hehehe). It took me over three years to find one offered at a price I could afford.
