Panama City - Tis the season to prepare for the season and the Bay County Sheriff's Office is preparing to put smiles on thousands of children faces this year.

Project 25 kicked off this morning with a car show in Panama City.

For the ninth year in a row, the Bay County Sheriffs Office partnered with the American Muscle Car Club to help raise money and donate gifts for children who would otherwise not receive presents for Christmas.

"This year is a greater need than ever with all the lay offs and the economy, so anybody that can help we would love for them to help and if you need help let us know," said Becky Johns, coordinator.

There was no entry fee to enter this car show, all you had to do was donate one, new, unwrapped toy and you were in. 121 cars were entered in this years show.

"There are all different shapes, sizes, colors, and years. Anything from a 1930 all the way to a 2010 Camaro," said Sammy Allen, American Muscle Car Club President.

For the past five years, Bill Dismuke has traveled all the way from Donaldsonville, Georgia to be a part of the event in and each year he enters a different car, but this year he says he brought a one of a kind 1967 Ford Fairlane.

"This car is one of 35 that ford built in 1967. It's a 427 Fairlane two door Sudan that part is what makes it so unique. It's the only one if you consider the color. It's the only one painted this odd ball color," said Dismuke.

Dismuke, like the many other car owners, came to Panama City hoping his prized car would earn one of the several prizes offered in today

So funny.....I actually did not see anyone taking pics today except the news station. The news article had this pic attached.....and the Jeepster was not there. It is a photo from another show, even one out of town. They took several but I did not....to busy chatting with other owners and potential owners

Well, I reckon so. Not too many of those African Fairlanes still on the road these days! :hide

I noticed that......could have been the owners pronunciation....

That is the same car I posted earlier about too.
