throttle linkage

I had planned to convert over to a throttle cable setup for the 67. I even have a fox pedal, but now I'm debating this. I have the stock automatic linkage that has the kickdown bracket.

I plan to run a manual so the kickdown isn't needed. I need this

I can remove the kickdown correct? And I'm assuming it's the same linkage once that is complete?

Anyhow, need some pics to figure out how this works. If I use this, I'll get a rod and heim joint to connect from the carb to the linkage? What about a return spring? What would you guys do? Stock style linkage or throttle cable using the fox pedal.

You can cut the kick down bracket off. Mine is that way with no issues but if you already have the fox pedal assy just buy the cable and cable hold down bracket.

I did cut off the kick down bracket when converting to a T5 trans.
Spring is mounted between a stud on the intake and on the rod. See pic as an example.
Either way , make sure you have "no play" in either setup.
IMHO

I like the looks of the cable throttle bracket, but pedal mounting and cable length is my hangup.

I have the threaded rod with heim joints on my 67, I am quite happy with it. I will cut off my kick down bracket when I convert to the TKO. I have two return springs on the carb to a bracket on the intake.
