Spray Filler

Has anyone on here used or experience with using Spray filler?

It is not commonly used over here in Ireland anymore but the Polish guys working on my car want to use it. I have heard mixed reports to date.

We use the polyester primer mostly on Corvette bodies. It sprays on thick and is a 2k product with minimal shrinkage. I've never had any problems with it. You do need a really good gun with a large primer tip to spray it. If I had to do my mustang again, I would use it as a first coat of primer to block out waves and imperfections. Then I would go back with a urethane primer over it to get a final paintable surface.

I have use Spies/Hecker Raderal http://www.dupontpc.com.au/spieshecker/sh-3508... I didn't have the right size tip (need something like 2.2 -2.4) , so I only used it to spot in some areas that needed small divots and pinholes taken care of. What I do like about it is that if you have an area that needs just a slight amount of build up then you can more easily control the thickness of the filler with the spray gun as opposed to mixing a batch of filler and spreading it by hand... That's how I plan to use it... I think I also used it to fill 80 grit sanding scratches in filler too. I'm just a novice and it worked good for me. Once I get a larger tipped gun, I'll probably use it more on rougher panels.
