Speedo bouncing...

Took the '67 out on Saturday to the bike shop to get new tires mounted for my BMW.
I hadn't driven it in a while so it needed the run.

On the highway at cruise (65-70mph) the speedo was bouncing 5mph in rhythmic time.
On the ay back it settled down somewhat to maybe 1-2mph bounce.

Is there a way to lube up (down really) the speedo cable. I'll have the gauge cluster out soon but really don't want to 'pull' the speedo cable out. Can I force lube/oil down the shaft somehow?

I've seen a past post mention dripping some Marvels Mystery oil down from the top of the cable.
