So a couple months ago I had the Mustang at the Cars & Coffee show in Greensboro. For those of you that aren't aware its a free show thats sponsored by a local grocery store (at least in Greensboro) the third Saturday of every month. I like this show because its from 8:00 - 11:00am, free admission and you get to see a little bit of everything. No pressure, no insanely long awards ceremony. Come and go as you please. The times I have been have I've seen over 200 cars at each show. Everything from Ferrari's to completely custom race cars..
So during the show this guy comes up to me, gives me his card and says he works for a publishing company called Source Interlink and he wanted permission to snap a few photos of the Mustang. He said it was a nice driver that had an interesting look. He explained that it was a long shot, but he wanted to submit the photo's to a some of the magazines that Source Interlink owned and see if any one of them was interested. I told him "SURE!!" thinking that I would never see this guy again. Anyway, he snaps a few photos, takes my contact info and he's on his way.
Fast forward to today, I get a call from the guy. Turns out that Modified Mustangs and Fords wants to do a full spread on the ole' rig! I'm pretty excited about this. Even the wife.. who really couldn't care less about the Mustang, was excited.
Has anyone ever done something like this before?? I have no idea what to expect. I'm still not completely convinced this isn't some kind of scam.
Thanks!
