Big block towers and staggered rear shocks yet the VIN on the towers read small block car. I know some small blocks made it out with big block towers but never heard one having staggered shocks.

could have been a 428 car that someone robbed the vin/title off it and titled it as a m code stang.If Not its a factory fluke car .

I've seen a few M code Cougars with reinforced shock towers and the 4 speed was the major reason for building the staggered shock setup in the first place. Can't recall off hand of M code Stangs but wouldn't be surprised. May have been ordered with the correct boxes checked to get this combo. Interesting though.

My car is a May 13 1969 M code car. Auto. No reinforcements, no staggered shocks.

A drag pack car would have gotten the staggered shocks.(I think) I don't know if you could get a drag pack with a 351 though.
