Sold My Project Today

Kind of a sad day for me. I sold my 69 project car and the new owner picked it up today. Had the car for just under a year and really had it coming along. But after being laid off in early August the wife and I talked and figured it would be best to sell. The company I worked for sold out and new owners moved business leaving 18 workers out of jobs. With no job in sight we figured we need the money more than the car. I even think I made a little on it. I will be looking again someday but for now I will just sit in the weeds and watch for awhile.

Hate to hear the run of bad news. Keep your head high and things will work out. Family needs always come before a car... even if it is a 69 stang :craz. Was it a coupe or fastback?

It was a new Dynacorn fastback body. :cry

First off, terribly sorry to hear this. I wish you luck in the job hunt.

As for the project, how did you like working with the Dynacorn body? Were you at paint yet? Body panels lined up?

If you ever get the urge to drive one come on over and take mine for a ride. After all 70 miles is not that far. Our deal is still on right?

Wow that is very kind of you Mod. I might just take you up on that when you finish your big block. I would love to drive that car from what you told me about it. And yes the deal is still on.

Wow. So much for the government and our wonderful economy supporting small businesses. Sorry to learn of your current situation. May it end soon. Get out of the weeds.... I'll come over and let you stomp on the gas pedal anytime dude! Cheers.

I never got it to paint. That was going to be my next step. I was happy with the Dynacorn body. Everything I bolted in lined right up. If the front sheet metal would have bolted up that good I would have been pleased.
