Shopping for a floor jack

Hi! I've been using a little aluminum floor jack from harbor freight and it has been great! Very lightweight, but just doesnt get high enough. The jack below is a more heavy duty and jacks up much higher~ which I'd like to able to get my stang higher to work on, and reasonable priced. Then I found this other attachement that goes on the (a) floor jack. Maybe it would work on the front frame of the Mustang instead of jacking up from the side?

What kind of floor jack are you using?(not lifts)

I use the craftsman 3 ton aluminum, and i like it. "This Floor Jack from Craftsman features a 3-ton/6,000 lb. capacity and a lifting range of 3-7/8 in. to 18-1/2 in. Constructed of light-weight aluminum, it weighs less than 66 lbs. making for easy jack positioning and maneuverability. Speed-Liftâ„¢ design requires only 2 pumps to bring the saddle to the chassis. Meets ANSI/ASME standards."

I like the quick lift up to the chassis with one or two pumps...makes life a whole lot easier.

Yes it does, my last one didnt, and this one seems to make life a whole lot easier.

I've got a 2.5 ton small jack that I bought from Kragen's about thirty years ago and a 3 ton monster that I bought from them about six years ago. The little guy doesn't lift the car high enough, but it will fit under most anything. The big guy will jack the car through the roof, but it's a tight fit under my Camaro and my Corvette. Unfortunately the little one has been puking ball bearings lately (not sure where from) and I think I need to replace it.

Ball bearings are usually from the top of the small wheel swivels. The your nut loosens up and your little balls fall out. Ain't that always what happens???? :rofl
