sequential tail lights for Shag or not?

I say yes. They're entirely unobtrusive and add a bit of snazz to the car. Also, there's the increased safety of all that LED lighting goodness.

Do not want. Would not buy. LEDs are a great idea, but sequentials in the stock taillights looks too out of place for me.

Well I don't know how the sequential lights look in the stock tail lights but since the lights appear to be three different parts it might be cool. I have the sequential tail lights on my Cougar lights and get lots of compliments on them. I had to add relays due to the increase in bulbs and that also made the tail lights brighter with out LEDs. Unless the lights are blinking you won't see the mod and as was already said, most people won't know or think it's a mod anyway. I can't tell you how many people ask me if my Eleanor-ish Coupe is a real Shelby! People just don't know much about older cars anymore. I don't think it's :gobp!

OK, here we go. Yes with all the visiting from ORP I was able to find time to continue with this project.

Hmmmm, which is which.......

I'm voting LED's for safety with the sequentials, it's a subtle mod that can easily be undone.(well not the LEDS) I always watch for the old T-birds and Shelbys to see the lights work. I started out with a set from Mustang project but they never worked quite right, I switched to Northwest mustangs set and they work great.

Go sequential, and definitely go LED.

The sequential lights look better in the '67-'69 than they do in the '65/'66, because it looks like 3 separate lenses, and they're spaced out more.

I have the Mustang Project sequential's on my 67 and are quite happy with them. Since there's no wiring modifications, they're easily removed by just replacing the circuit board Led bulb unit with a standard bulb in the existing socket, and your back to stock.

I am going LED and will experiment between sequential vs non later down the road. Since it is the flasher itself that makes the difference, it will be an easy change over.

You can also get an extra flasher, and use it for the emergency light flasher. That's what I did in my '69, so even the emergency flashers are sequential.

Craig was nice enough to send me his sequential flasher assembly to try out. I installed it tonight and shot a couple videos to compare. Check 'em out.

The jury is still out on this one. Im not sure if im feeling the sequential lights. :conf

Wow, that was damn cool of you Craig! I just hope rick is nice enough to send them back! :yikes :rofl

I tried both and went with the non-sequential for one reason. When I drove my car, which was every day, it took too long for the sequence to do it's thing. Here in CA on the freeways making a lane change with two blinks of the flasher is the norm. In the same span of time that two normal blinks show, the sequential ones wouldn't be done with one sequence. Just took too long for me.
Definitley like the LED's though.
