Seat stuck 07 GT

The front seat is stuck all the way forward on the 2007 GT. Sounds like motor is working ( making noise ) but will not go backwards. Any helpful tips on how to fix ?
 
Have you tried to "help" it with manual force while using the motor? I'm thinking maybe it has gone beyond a rack it might run on and the gear has nothing to bite into. Just a top of the head thought. Never messed with one to know exactly how it functions.
 
No. It started slowing down and I told the wife not to move it back because I have heard when it goes it goes in whatever spot it is in. But with the chain of events in my life I want to sell it but need the seat to work,
