i just blasted my frame after removing the entire floor now i need to protect it. what should I use?
I have etching & epoxy primers but I am out of rust encapsolator. I have it on order along with Internal Frame Coating from eastwoods.
there is flash rust starting in some areas & forecast calls for rain.

I do not want to do this job over again so what should I use or should I look into
picking up something local like from home depot or other local atores. if the epoxy & etching primer are not recommended?

Swing by the local Lowes, Home Depot, etc... & pickup some metal prep & brush it on on of the surfaces, same a POR's Metal Ready. My car has been setting post blast for far to may years to admit with no rust issues treated this way. When you are ready to paint scuff & paint per standard procedure.

I would epoxy and paint.. Although I have used several different rust encapsulate,s..I really don't have much faith in them. My 2 cents.

If you put anything on top of rust you are simply temporarily hiding what WILL become a bigger issue. You need to remove ALL traces of rust before you paint over it. Otherwise it will simply continue to develop and worsen. Neither epoxy or an etching primer does anything to fix or stop existing rust.

What media did you use to blast? If you used soda you MUST MUST MUST thoroughly clean the metal BEFORE you apply the primer (ask me how I know) !!! If you used crushed glass or some other material you can probably get away with just wiping off the blast residue with a moist rag.

I hope you mean wipe off with a wax and grease remover, and not a wet rag on bare steel.
