Had a nice day with some free time so I thought I would play with the stang which is something I don't get to do often. The day started with pushing the car out of the garage dude to dead battery. Love it. Jumped the car and found that it won't stay running at idle. I'm pretty sure I have way too much carb on the 5.0 and it keeps flooding it unless I goose it. Edlebrock 750cfm on 5.0.... yeah too much carb. Might be something else causing it to die, but I have no idea at this point.
I decide I'm going to start pulling the glass out of the doors to swap in the less rusty set of doors I have had laying around. This is no easy process. I just go to the point of unbolt everything I could find and see how to pull it all out. It still took like 2 hours to get it all apart. The vent window frame was a real bear to remove. It took forever to figure out that all those holes in the door are there for a reason. Unbolt here....wiggle vent frame to show another bolt in a different hole...remove that bolt.....wiggle a little more.....find one more unexpected bolt....now you can wiggle the frame out. Geez who designed this?
