Re-Introduction

Hey Guys and Gals,

I've been a member here for almost a year but have seldom visited the site.

I'm building a '66 coupe. It started life as a 6 cyl. auto with A/C (probably add on). So far, I've taken it down to the unibody and replaced all suspension, the brakes, the rearend (with an 8" out of a parts car), engine (302), transmission (T-5), etc.

What I'm still working on is rewiring the car (Ron Francis kit) and installing the A/C (Vintage Air kit). Then it will start going through the paint process, still haven't decided whether to try it myself or farm it out, but leaning toward farming it out.

My goals are just to have a nice weekend steet car. I will occasionally take it to Motorsports Ranch, but not in competition, just a solo lap or two.

Anyway, since I haven't been around for so long (March!) I thought I'd reintroduce myself. Some of you may recognize me from one of the other boards. Hopefully I can contribute from my experiences.

Welcome Back, in case you forgot, we have one rule here, "it never happened without pics." Post up some pictures of your project. After all, we are a visual bunch.

Yo-Ho!
Been here a while eh?
So you know about the cookies? :craz

Yes welcome back. I was going to say something about the cookies but I have been accused of repeating myself. :dh Maybe I should give you a warning not to post pictures of Duane's girlfriend. Funny things happen to those that do. :pel But I shall end this on a positive note and they have build threads here, please use it to share your progress. :coo fd

Glad to see you posting here. Welcome back. This place can get wild in certain boards.

Just as a side not to others, I am just finishing up some business with Steve. I stumbled across an add on CL for a heater located outside Houston. Happened to be Steve's. I had Sluggo check it out and I made a purchase. The deal went real good and I must say actually a pleasant transaction. Didn't know Steve was a member here until halfway thru the deal....small world for sure.

I must thank Sluggo for taking the time and looking the unit over and Steve for being easy to deal with.

Hopefully this will work. I'm not real savvy with pictures and webboards, so bear with me if they're too big or small.

Thanks to all for the welcome back. I've learned a lot during the last 2 years with this car, hopefully I can help some others along the way.

I've known Dne' (or sportbikechick) for about a year, we traded transmissions. She's also responsible for kicking me in the butt recently to get back working on it. I was stuck on the floor pans needing welding up. I have never welded although I have a welder, everytime I tried to use it I made a mess. As it turns out its a crappy welder, so maybe I can do it now. Anyway, she came over and welded them up for me. Thanks tons Dne'.

It was nice to meet Sluggo recently, as AzPete mentioned. Nice ride, real nice!

Oh, and here you go cookie fans! :coo

Nice pics of you Mustang. But I have to ask why were you giving Duane the finger? :lol fd

Welcome back!

I enjoyed meeting you as well.

And thanks for the killer deal on the T5 slip yoke! One step closer :weas
