Joey 'Fordrule', his 4yo daughter Lily and I went on Sat., it was raining when we pulled up but cleared/muggy the rest of the day, his friend David followed us in his one of kind '09 Terlingua alum.V6/SC:
Lots of '60's muscle racing, I hope to get to this 1/4mi. track and run against Craig in the SF dragcar but if he moves we may have to do it in GA.
Thunderbolt!!!
AMX 401
Burnout contest winner, only 2 cars entered, the first was a 2002 corvette and the driver couldn't get it to do a burnout :homo:
Then the crew chief got in the car and melted the tires. This guy won (forgot what kind of car it was but the driver was 82! he knew how to do a burnout. The announcer came down on the track to survey the car/smoke/ track and walked right through the rubber

then announced over the loud speaker 'so much for my new nikes, they are melted to the track, didn't know it would do that....' which was pretty hilarious.
Had a great day and was worn out after 6 hrs., will do it again when I get a chance, learned you have to bring your own beer if you want to drink, they allow it but don't sell it. There was a loud know it all in a wife beater keeping everyone entertained between races whether you wanted to be or not, I found it pretty funny, he told matter-of-fact (to him) stories nonstop.
