Need help with hiding the wiring!

Okay, I've got a total of about 7 or 8 relays under the hood. Looks like crap with so much wiring going everywhere. I did not do the efi when I put the '90 5.0 HO with the AOD into the '66. I am thinking of putting a small compartment type box somewhere to put the relays into. Also the large fuse for the 3G alt. that I am running. I would like to run the wiring behind the fender? I am assuming I need to remove the fender to do this? Do you run it thru some tubing or something to protect it back there? Any help/pics would help, everyone likes my stang and wants to see it...but when I open the hood with the new engine, it's like "whats up with the wiring mess"! :po I really need some help here as I am not very good at the "little" things like this that really make or break a nice project. I installed an ezwiring harness/fusebox to get rid of the old wiring so all the wiring is newer and nice looking wire. Thanks, Gary.

I used a different approach to hiding my EFI wiring. I put a blower on. The inlet pipe hides almost everything and the filter covers the rest. I think your idea of a hidden box that is reachable from the engine compartment it great. I would think you could do it without taking off the fender but I would do it with the car jacked up and the tire off. Again plan B, put a blower on it and forget about it.

You could move your battery to the trunk and then get one of the original looking battery cases and mount all your relays inside the battery case. I couldnt find the whole case in my quickie search, but here is the cover

I can't find a picture of it, but Garner67's approach is the best I've ever seen. He hid all his behind an access panel.

I'll keep looking for a picture.

Wow, that is really neat. Do you have any pics of it with the motor and rad in place? Any Interference at all? I would guess not because of the battery. Thats sweet!

Thanks to everyone, that's what I would like to do is something similar. How hard is it to run the wiring behind the fender?

Hell, it might look simple or easy but...every-time I start out to do something like this, the "what if's" and "while I'm at it's" get me! :cry :$$$ :eek:mg
Then it turns into a 6 month freakin' project of more/more/more, ugh! :amaz

Here's what I've been thinking...since I'm building my own harnesses, I'm going to build a bracket to weld to the underside of the battery tray. I'm not going to hide all my wiring, but that should keep my car looking relatively stock, those relay sockets ain't exactly beautiful.

That might be something to consider, but if you're going 'clean' then it's going to take another route so you can hide ALL the wires. :D
