I collect folkloric nativity scenes (or nacimientos) and this year decided to set them up in the living room on the table where I usually have my Christmas village. Two sets are tall ceramic figures from Mexico, two are medium-sized wood figures from Peru and Ecuador, and two are small ceramic sets from Brazil and Ecuador, about 1.5 inches high. They looked really cool all sitting on the low table together. That lasted for 24 hours.
Last night, I heard my kitten batting around something in my room. I grabbed it, and discovered she had stolen one of the Brazilian sheep. I also found an Ecuadorean llama under the dining room table. The Ecuadorean Joseph is still missing. And, no Brazilian Jesus. I may never find that piece because it is very small. I just hope she didn't eat it. And, no, I am not checking the litter box for it.
Can't wait to see what comes off the tree today and off the table. Oh well, it makes life interesting. And, no vacuuming until I find everyone!
