Mustang Plus Fall09 Show

We were curious ourselves since the shock towers in the outside have the same 'grey' not blue gloss paint. Alas Jeff had gone by the time we discovered it. My guess it is correct but then again Jeff stated he wasn't infalible. :dumas

I'm thinking concours in training and what a school of hard knocks it's been, the undercarriage is sprayed in batch paint, ( at the end of the day the paint shop at ford dumped all of the leftover colors into a giant vat for use on undercarriages ) waste not want not. so what Jeff has done over the years is collected chunks of mustang and Shelby sheet metal, gathered Vin's for these pieces and build dates and factories and can get really close to a point in time when my car ( wife's car) rolled off of the line and came up with that color which matches another that rolled off of the line at a similar point in time. also some parts allthough they are a similar color are dipped not sprayed which gives a whole different look to the part.

Dan...I told the guy that came to pick up my '67 that a straight trade for that unfinished POS Mach on the lift was his if he wanted it. I saw Jeff helping get it loaded on the truck. :vic :naug :rofl

sadly the deal fell through though after studying that POS he felt that I should throw in some cash and since that money pit has left me begging we broke off negotiations....maybe next time. :cry
