Music City Mustang Annual Ford Show 9/28/13

We had our annual show at a local HS this year, drive thru judging went ok until a '70fb intake caught fire from overloaded carb bowls, no damage but had people scrambling until someone smothered it. I suggested a non powder ext. and fire blanket for next year.

Cool van, pergo floors and shag:

The seatback embroidery finished it off for me!

Talked to the owner of this GT350, he stated it one of 7 survivors (unrestored) and he open tracks it regularly:

I took the wifes car to show (no judging for club members) and as usual the ladies liked it:

This new continuation GT-40 showed up and the owner was very nice and raced with Paul Newman, etc. in some classes in his earlier years. He's 75yo (hence the racing #), his wife just gave him this car for his birthday ($275K if I overheard correctly).

He let me slide into the drivers seat (non adj.) and at 6'1" it was not a good fit. He said the pedals are adj. and Gurney was 6'2" but I couldn't get my knees under the dash with the pedals where they were.

It was perfect weather but a long day of work for a nice show.

Sunbeam Tiger with the original 260!

This was practically a concours car with the paper tags on the interior and all the paint markings in the engine bay, the wheels were the only non stock part, they looked completely out of place to me. I didn't get why they only changed the wheels and everything else was original/concours?

I didn't have a lot of time to take pics as I was working the event and tending to the questions on the wife's car between.

Thanks for the photos! Always enjoy a car show on the PC. Nice to see what's in different locations across the country.
