Multimeter

Ok folks, I need a new multimeter. Not looking for Fluke, just a basic unit like the Crenova MS8233D will work for me.

Anyone got one? any good?, suggestions?

Hard to give a good answer without knowing the intended uses and just how often and where you'll pull it out. If you just need to check continuity or for presence of voltage (basic stuff) just about anything will do. I am still using my Fluke 88 from about 35+ years ago. It has done everything I have ever needed. I've also got a couple $25-40 pieces of Harbor Freight type crap I bought for the glovebox for when I road tripped and they still verify a fuse, voltage and continuity as well. If you are going to be doing real electrical and electronic work you need to buy a better unit with the necessary features.

I had never heard of the brand name Crenova before but just looked it up and saw what it is (Amazon for about $25 USD). Sounds like it is just what you need. Like all things anymore that are mass produced (technologically stolen and copied by the Chinese) I'm sure it will be just fine for your needs. It looks very much like one of the cheap ones I have that does the basic job fine.
