I passed my second speciality course tonight and earned a new level of Speciality Diver (need 12 dives and two courses). This is fun!

I always thought that would be fun, I am not sure I have what it takes to do it though, whats next? Skydiving, now that would be one of those things that right after you jumped the first time you would be thinking WHY did I do this! lol---congratulations

Whats your goal? I would like to get wreck dive certified eventually, but its been probably three years since my last dive, need to get in gear...

Way back in the late 70's my wife and I became certified divers. Learned off the Monterey, CA coast - bummer :lol

Once we got lots of miles under our belts, we went on a Central American diving vacation with 4 other couples. Lived in a hut on the Island of Roatan. One of the best vacations we have had.

I always wanted to do skydiving, but I know I won't. Scuba doesn't frighten me because I'm natural in the water and know I can make it to the surface. But, there's something about the potential to go splat that stops me from trying sky diving.

I definitely want to do wreck diving because I'd like to visit some underwater archaeology digs and perhaps even volunteer on one for a few days. Right now, I'm focusing on reaching Master Diver status and then go for Century Diver for a start. I have a late start so we'll see how much I can do.

I'm planning on it in a year or two--either do a liveaboard or maybe a week on Bonaire. I am doing another cruise over Thanksgiving and should get in at least eight dives in the southern Caribbean.

If you decide to go to Bonaire, you'll love it. My brother and I went there for a week about 15 years ago (yikes has it been that long already, dang I must be getting old). We loved it. We did a minimum of two boat dives per day and 1 or 2 shore dives a day. And even a couple of night dives. It was AWESOME!!! I would love to go back there and do another week of diving.
