From my understanding the 4barrel has better gas mileage and better top speed..

Or am I way off? On a 24 hour shift so I have been reading up a bit on the history and what not.. Lots of questions :hmm

Some of these questions will make me look stupid, but gotta find out one way or another.

Also, the length and height was increased 2.7" and .5" in 1967. Was this to make room for the 390?

A 4 bbl carb will have better mpg IF you stay out of the secondaries. Due to having the second set of throttle plates and such, the primaries on a 4 bbl are jetted smaller than a 2 bbl for the same engine. And, being you have the extra fuel flow at wide open throttle, you may get a better top end. As for fun, a 4 bbl is a lot more fun.

4 barrel (Venturi) carb.

The track width and the overall width increased in 67 to accommodate the FE (390/428). They use the same frame rails, floor boards, etc. but moved the shock towers out further. The body is more curvy to allow for the wider track width. The length and height must be more styling influenced?
