Here is a link to some skilled hungarian dudes making a "1967" Mustang convertible from the ground up using aftermarket parts, not even a body shell. Wow.

The video is a little artsy, but the skill involved is noteworthy.

The last frame told me what I wanted to know....1560 hours! Even at $50/hour that's $78,000. I'd build one too if I could get paid for it.
