Help and ideas please, fuel line from pump to carb

So I have never been able to dial in my rebuilt original carb, Pony Carbs not recommend by me! I have given up!

I decided to buy a new Holley with dual feed fuel lines, the fuel log only comes in 3/8" inlet size. I have wasted days looking and even though Summit lists a 5/16" inlet it's 3/8" I bought it and they just gave it to me.

My fuel line from pump to carb is 5/16", I bought a nice 5/16" inline filter and a new fuel line and hose which is all wasted at this point I believe!

So does anyone know if I can just buy the 390 68 Fuel line from NPD, it says for hi-flow pump. Is the fitting the same but the line just 3/8"?

Would it be a problem having 5/16" from tank to pump and 3/8"from the pump to the carb? I would just need to buy a new fuel line from NPD, 3/8" hose and a 3/8" filter.

I really need to get this done so thanks for any tips or help.

Can't answer the question on the 390 line, but I have 5/16 from the tank and 3/8 from pump to carb, no issues at all.

As long as your engine is not demanding more fuel than the 5/16" line can supply, you're fine. (and I'm sure it is not)

Justin,
Sorry I missed you yesterday via phone. I agree that I don't see why you can't run a 3/8 fuel line between the pump and carb. Yes the fitting that you thread the fuel line into on the pump might have to be changed out, but no biggie. You could simply go you your local NAPA and get a straight pieces of 3/8 fuel line and bend your own, for with your new configuration, what are the odds that any prebent line is going to work especially since you are running a dual feed inlet? Are you running an aftermarket inline fuel filter?
