I took the car out for the fist car show of the year. It was at a local McDonald's and the proceeds went to the Ronald McDonald House. I won $300 in America's the Best tire gift certificates and 3 other raffle prizes. The show had about 70 cars of all makes. I won 2nd place in the 1960's class of which there was about 30 cars. I was pretty stoked! A really nice Chevelle Convertible from the mid 60's won. I also won a best of show award from the manager of McDonald's. It made me rethink wanting to sell my car.

If you enjoy the car then I wouldn't sell it, it's always makes me happy when people appreciate the time and work spent on a car and its a great feeling winning congrats!

Thanks for the compliments and you guys are probably right. It has been so damn frustrating the last couple summers. Two years ago I had a new Comp Cams lifter fail on my new engine and force me to go through it all again. Then when I think that is over last summer I realize my engine guy f'd up when he put my engine together. He gapped the rings @36 and they should have been 24.

Both times the car was apart for the duration of the season. If I use the car more this summer I hope my feelings change. If my feelings stay the same then we'll see what happens.

i'm in the same boat but going on 5 summers now with mine.

1st summer, drove it a little but carb was shot & original radiator needed replacing.
2nd summer it was still mostly apart dealing with those issues & all the stuff that needed replaced or changed while doing those mods/repairs.
3rd summer it stayed covered up in the yard while doing the shop rebuild after the fire & dealing with the mrs. knee replacement.
4th summer uncovered it to drive & brake system was dry. tore it all apart & rebuilt everything, then got frustrated with the tranny noises & nobody willing to align the front end. then the mrs surgeries started up again & progress stopped there.
5th summer (current) if I don't get to drive it soon, it will be for sale. i'll sell it & buy a newer gt. 5 yrs without something "fun" to drive is too long & i'm not getting younger...

You make a good point. There is something to be said for starting what you finish etc, but the older I get the more I realize you can't get time back, and that there's guys that thought they had all the time in the world... and they didn't. Get something and start making memories soon.
