Forced to attend...(with pics 10/11/10)

Was not planning on attending this deal, http://www.panamacitybeachfest.com/ , as it is just crowded and can be a problem for my wife. We were at a cruise in tonight and the guy running the car show part asked if we could make it as they want more classic cars than what they are getting. We will have two VIP passes for Sat. Guess I will have to go and have fun. My wife will plan for two days prior to be rested so she can enjoy. Probably should get a couple pairs of ear plugs as VIP seating is front row.

Must have been in a master plan somewhere.....The band on Sat is REO Speedwagon......same group that is on the CD that was in the player in the '66 when it was delivered from johnpro.

Re: Forced to attend...

Well, dang......went to this deal.....had a blast.....and got offered tickets for today, twisted my arm to go....LYNYRD SKYNYRD & Little River Band tonight. Must sober up before returning....some pics may follow on Monday......... Did I mention open bar from 5 - 11 with table service plus free food. The food line was a double line, and continuous for 2 hours. And a big hit with those of us in the VIP area was air conditioned restrooms..........did I mention open bar......Forty Creek and Coke goes down real good. Wife stopped counting after......heck, I have no idea.

Ahhhhh.....fun......

This was the double sided sand sculpture at the entrance to the Seafood Festival.

These are from the REO Speedwagon Concert. Couldn't have gotten much closer than we did a bit later as the pics show.
Wife was in charge of the camera as I was enjoying the Creek & Cokes as you will see.

Re: Forced to attend...

Here are the pics of where the cars are stashed out there. There ended up close to 100 cars. Yep, a sand lot in a grass field. After three days of cars, I have heard of no permanent damages...lol. You can see our '66 as I used it as a base for some shots. I waited about 40 mins. to get out of the lot after the concert ended at 11pm.

They bill the cars display as a sneak preview of the Emerald Coast Cruise In which happens the first part of November. Tons of people looking at the cars.....

Re: Forced to attend...

Holy crap Pete, you robbed the cradle didn't ya? SWMBO looks at least 30 years younger than you!

As for REO, funny how time hasn't helped Kevin Cronin's looks :eek:mg He's just as scary now as when I last saw him back in the early 80's. Does he still have a voice?

Just remember; You can tune a piano, but you can't tuna fish.

Re: Forced to attend...

Will get pics of Lynyrd Skynyrd from Sun night as soon as I get them from my granddaughter. Again, someone in a better state to take pics....lol

Yep robbed the cradle for sure.......

They all can sing......but man the partyin' is getting harder to recover from. Two days, 10 am to midnight, car show, food, concert, and drinks.....the tickets we had were worth $150 each person and we had two Sat., and got a total of 4 Sat. so my daughter and granddaughter could get in. Did I mention open bar......
