Electric water pump

There is a guy in my area that has a 65 Dodge with a 426 wedge in it that ran an electric water pump on the street. He always ran hot with it. He just changed it back over to a stock type aluminum water pump and the car now runs cool. I think the electric pumps are more set up for drag racing.

+1. But...I understand that they make some electric WP that are intended for street use and flow quite a bit more water.

I am using a 4 core radiator with the stock 4 blade fan. Here is a photo of it.

Personally, I'd upgrade the rest of the cooling system before worrying about an electric pump.
