Don't let me do it!

Weather has been nice lately, and makes me want to work on Gertrude. But I just know, if I do little things, the "while I'm at it" will take over and she'll be torn apart like last time and off the road for another year! :(

I haven't done anything really on her since I got her back on the road. Fixed a leaking servo, but that is about it. I've just been having loads of fun driving her and enjoying her. She gets a lot of head turns despite her not so pretty appearance!

Ugh... someone talk me out of working on her! LOL

Fixed it. Drive her till something breaks ( as long as it's not a safety issue ) then fix something. :steer

What are the things you want to do to it? I see no reason to not work on your Gertrude TODO list as long as you plan accordingly keep her down time to a minumum.

Start body work so she can get painted. Or at least get her in all one color primer. She's rocking 3 colors now, red/black/primer gray.

I still need to get the rest of the body pieces I need for my e-coupe look. The hood, deck lid & end caps, grills & lights for my MTF e-nose. I'm crossing my fingers husband is nice and let's me use some tax return for some of those things.

Other than that, there isn't really much on the to do list. Interior is still bare, but I don't plan on doing the interior until after paint.

Oh and if some of y'all haven't seen it, here's Gertrude doing her one wheel burn out. Rawr! LOL

I would just drive and enjoy it for now. :steer

No sense tearing into anything body related if your waiting to get major parts. Once you have everything, then tear it up.

Kat if the multi colors are bugging you, go to the parts store and buy 4 or 5 rattle cans of gray primer. Just mask up and start spraying. It'll temporarily change to look dramatically for little effort, money or down time. When it comes time to do quality bodywork it'll easily sand off. Additionally you can get a quick fix for that Jones to work on the car!

I did multi-color and primer for years...
