long long long story but I am going to court @ the end of the month, suing a guy for loosing my nos hood. i have no idea what an NOS hood would cost to replace but i need some sort of guid line to start from since my hood was part of a package deal.
if you have one, please contact me. i want to know what you paid for it, how long you have had it & what if any price you would sell it for. I know what replacements are going for & I have print outs from various catalogs/websites but I deed to know what
the nos would go for.
thanks guys

I'm probably not much help but I bought a 68 coupe on eBay for parts about three years ago. The only body panel on it that was good was the hood, a factory turn signal hood. I paid over $600 for the car but I did get lots of other parts (console, seats, etc.) no engine or drivetrain.
I know eBay has a feature where you can see what things sold for. You might try collecting that info...

A seller at the last Pate swap meet in Fort Worth had 1 for sale. I think he was asking $450. He also had 2 non signal hoods for $350 each. The had Ford service part stickers on them.

Ugh, I got one if you'd like to buy it. 400 plus shipping.

so let me get this straight, you guys are selling NOS non used original old stock hoods for under the cost of a ford tooling repro?
why does that not sound right.
are these hoods NOS or used?

I'm not selling anything, just sharing the prices I have seen for the hood you want.

stang32,
How on earth can you assume anyone to have a NOS turn signal hood? NOS? No Freakin way! Maybe 1 out of 300 if not greater? Did you have one? Can you prove it was NOS? Just speaking from a court's point of view.

I'd say there out there but rare as hen's teeth. Sorry for the "brain fart" but if your looking for comps you should be able to call a couple of vender's that specialize in NOS parts like Perogie 609-448-1684 and Tony Branda 814-942-1869 and explane the situation. I'd say they would have no problem sending you an e-mail showing the price for a NOS hood or at least their estimate for a fair market value. It's possible that they may have one or know where one is. Hope this helps.

thats the beuty of this hole mess craig, the courts already did that for me. they ruled the hood as NOS in a prior ruling, now i am simply taking their info & running withi it.

so I need to find out what the average mustang retorer/enthusiast would pay for an NOS tunr signal hood

I've seen a NOS 1973 hood ad for $1000 on either 7173mustangs.com or concoursmustang.com
