KB3 and son KB4 won at Modesto American Graffiti Show yesterday. Kona Blue 65 restomod. Appx. 20 awards for an 1100+ car field. Well done.


Our friend Ed, also from Modesto, won with his 65 GT.

It was great to see the boy's reaction when they told him he was getting an award. Made my day as a proud father. It was nice to recognized by car guys as to the work that went into the car.

Believe it or not we almost didn't make it to the awards ceremony. Some dummy ( :whis) forgot to check the hydraulic clutch fluid after the boy wore the hell out of the clutch at Friday's night cruise. I drove it home from the show Saturday and it would hardly shift. As we were preparing to go to the show Sunday to get the award (must be present to win), we had no clutch pedal. Two hours later of us jacking the car up, bleeding the system we made it in time. I was not going to let the kid miss out on his first award. He may need to hire a better mechanic going forward....I am too damn old to remember everything.
