CJ Pony Parts

Called CJ Pony Parts today to place an order. The salesman told me that as of Jan. 1st CJs will be having free shipping on all orders exept parts that have to go by truck freight. It will even be for oversize parts. Sounds like a good deal to me.

I think wednesdays have always been free shipping, and fridays are 10 percent off. Now if the fridays sale stays with the free shipping, that might be a good thing. :$$$ Its just a shame it takes months to get their stuff. :dh

25% off CJ Pony Parts

25% off on the 29th and 30th of December. Saw it on the website, not all products qualify.

Placed an order with them prior to xmas with their 5-25% off of everything sale they had going on. Over half my order is on "backorder" with expected arrival times dated on the sheet to prior to the day I purchased. Not sure what's going on there. Good deals to be had for sure though!

50% on back ordered is pretty typical for CJ's.

The only time I will buy from them is if I can pick it up at the Columbus swap meet just because of that.

It's fairly common knowledge that CJ's is a "drop ship" outfit. You order an item from them, they turn around and order your item from their supplier. Less overhead and less inventory allows them to pass savings onto their "patient" customers.

When I google a mustang part and CJ's name appears, I click on it and it says site down for whatever reason. Doesn't sound like a place I will be ordering from in the near future.

I used them years ago for the 67. They seemed to be OK then. I guess I will use someone else for the 65.

I've used them a few times and had mixed results. Guess it just depends on when you catch them.

I tend to shop around because there does not seem to be a particular vendor that is cheaper across the board. If I am not in any particular hurry I order from CJ, VCM or NPD, etc. If I am in a hurry I order from either John's or Mustang Mania because they are both close by and I can pay ground shipping and get it the next day. If I am ordering something large, I just go to John's and pick it up.

Never ordered from CJ.... that whole "back order" thing would really piss me off...

I use MU mostly, because they're pretty close and sometimes they have some good in store specials, or scratch and dent stuff...

I would be much happier if NPD would open a store close by!! :)

I never ordered from CJ, but I got some nice parts at the Columbus swap meet. I don't think that CJ has the market cornered on not having parts in stock. I ordered from MustangsPlus last summer and out of 8 items I ordered, they had ONE in stock. I have had the same problem with many of the common suppliers.

I can drive to KAR Mustang in Columbus. Sometimes they are a tad high, but they are very helpful and fair minded.

Ordering online, you can't beat NPD in my opinion. They usually have parts in stock, and when I order from the Michigan depot before 11am, I usually get my order the next day where I live near Dayton, Ohio.

I'm fairly local to Dallas Mustang, but they seem to be out of stock quite often. I used MU quite a bit and only had a couple issues. NPD is really good, but there on-line ordering could be a LOT better. I wish summit would open a place in Dallas!!!
