Car back from painter

This is my first post to StangFix. I used to lurk on VMF and have been wondering for sometime where everyone went. Now I know that you've been migrating here. This is a great site and I'm glad I found it too. Anyhow, my car has been off the road for two years while I finished the body work. I sent it to the painter in June and got in back in September. I'm very happy with the results. I ordered new wheels (Torq Thrush II) earlier this week because I want to put 17" wheels and fat tires underneath it. Here's a before and after shot of my car.

Welcome. You are off to a good start with the pictures. Cookies will be delivered and the beer will be free tomorrow. Oh, and Craig is just as crazy as the rest of us. :lol

Welcome. Beautiful car you have there. Might I throw in my $0.02? I'm a big fan of torq thrust wheels. But, those wheels on your car just scream class. I love 'em with the white. My vote is to stay with that style but either way, very nice ride.

Thanks for the 2 cents! I like the Styled Steels Wheels also but couldn't find them in the 17x8 and 17X9.5 sized I needed accommodate the big tires I am planning. I'm looking for a more aggressive look.

Gotcha. In order to help a fellow stanger out, I'll go ahead and be the first to offer storage for them in order to get them out of your way.

#1 Rule - Don't listen to AZPete. He lives in FL and recently was diagnosed in having Gatoraids after getting too friendly with them swamp dwellers.

#2 Rule - I am the only sane one here. The rest of these guys are really strange. Keep pics of your wife, girlfriend, next door cougar neighbor, or all three to yourself.

#3 Rule - You cannot show too many pics of your beautiful car. BTW, I do agree about keeping that car stock looking with those styled wheels but do understand your desire to pump up the look. Will you need to flare the fenders to make the big wheels fit?

Oh yeah, Welcome to StangFix.

Duane,

Are you looking for a set of Styled Steel wheels?

You should have said something earlier.... maybe like when you were standing in my garage. There's a set in my attic gathering dust.

Ok, I've looked down thru this thread and all I see is fastbacks :cry Us coupe guys are starting to feel umm, lonely. :craz We need to recruit more coupe owners to even it up a little. What say you. :) Hehe he.

Welcome! Great looking car. I LOVE that hood!

And don't listen to Cmayna, he's just as crazy as the rest of us...he's just better at hiding it.

A about CMAYNA ..........its true !!!!!

Welcome to the Dark Side. Great looking fastback. I know what you mean about the wheels. I have SS on mine, and it came from the factory with them. When it is back on the road again I also want some 17 inch TT II with some bigger meat on it. But that is a way down the road. The Shelby hood on it is just awesome. fd

Sweet, another fastback and it's NOT GO :pbj Welcome aboard and as others have said......Craig really is a Loon.
