can someone take a measurement on 65/66?

65-408

Member
Looking for the approximate length of the front shock (from upper mount to perch) on a 65/66 when sitting at ride height. I want to make up some adjustable (in length) struts so I can have the car at ride height without the engine installed (the struts will be installed in place of the shock with no front springs). I plan on a drop, so if your car is dropped, note the drop with the measurement.

Thanks,

jeff

13.5" to the top mount bolt....

OpenTracker Racing roller spring perches
OpenTracker Racing roller upper control arms
Street Or Track adjustable, rollerized strut rods
vario-centric camber kit (eliminates '65/'66 front shims)
1" Aadco front sway bar
620# front springs, lowered 1"
KYB GasAjust shocks

That was fast.... Perfect, I have the 620, 1" drop springs as well...

Forgot....Arning drop also.....

I will try to answer slower next time....lol. Just happened to be looking into some other things on the car when I saw your needs...

Nope, speed is good...

So the 13.5" is from the top surface of the perch (where the shock mounts) to the top ot the shock retaining bolt?

Top of the perch (where the coil sits) to the top of the shock bolt.....13.25-13.5 according to my tape. That also has the after market export brace in there.
