This may have been posted before but I just found out about so I thought I would pass this very important message along.

Brake clean when heated say while welding will emit a very dangerous gas
here is the link http://www.brewracingframes.com/id75.htm

I use brake clean all the time and easy could have done this. Bad stuff for sure, My buddy's nephew works for a elevator company and just came in and told us about a co worker that has done this yesterday welding and they don't think he is going to live as his kidney and lungs are shutting down as well as some sort of nerve damage.. Very bad stuff

I had never heard of it so I googled the link and sure enough, Take care out there

Lots of bad stuff out there, always weld clean dry metal with good ventilation!

I got a good dose of bad gas while welding a floor pan in under the steering wheel welding to the rocker, which I believe is galvanized, all crammed under there welding too close anyway and I got some nasty air and beat a path out from underneath the dash.

everything in a spraycan can be hazardous nearby a heatsource !!!!
even if it is " friendly to the envirement " .
