Chris,

The gauge cluster came in today and it looks awesome!!!!!!!!!!! :craz

Thanks, it was a pleasure.

I will try to get some. It was the one Chris had for sale that he refurbished. He did an excellent job. Glad I check those classifieds all the time. Chris was also a great guy to deal with.

It is probably more exciting to me than others, but I decided to stick with stock gauges because there are so many going with the white faces. This one also had the optional clock.

That does look nice and sharp. I am not a fan of the white faced gauges in the classics either. Just be sure the lighting is good before you install it. Even restored, sometimes the lighting can be weak.

Its always nice to see new and/or restored things.Even if it is a regular instrument cluster.
One step closer to finish a project.

Looks nice to me. What shape is your project in now? Are you driving it? Any pics? Im curious to see what your working with.

It isn't anywhere close. I have a lot of work to do. I am doing things as money comes in. I can't justify taking away from my family to have a finished car. The motor is going back together pretty quickly. I just traded an old 3 speed and a New Process 4 speed for a T-5. I have a friend that used to work for a transmission place, looking it over. I have been waiting for some brake parts to put my rear end together, but the guy seems to have screwed me over on the parts. Once I get those (if I ever do) I think I am going to focus on the rear section of the car to get it all bolted together. I have new shackles and new lowering springs waiting to go on at that time. Still need some 1" spacers for my bullitt wheels though. It will start to feel like progress at that time. It needs a lot of metal work on the front. Something I am not very familiar with. I plan to get that way. I wish I had some of the skills that some of the other members have. The other thing that is slowing me down is being a dad. I have two girls and family is very important to me, so the stang is whenever I have time.

I like the way you think.
Family comes first and taking away from the family budget isn't a good thing.
The mustang hobby is more then restoring the car ASAP.
Its about people with the same interest and we don't judge on how someone tackle his projects or what kind of mustang he has.
Its all about haven fun.
And maybe you meet someone on this forum who lives in your neigberhood who can tackle such a job as welding sheetmetal ans such things.

Bruno, i couldn't have said it better myself. Ryan, i think you need to start a build thread and keep us posted on your progress. However long it takes. :good

Thanks guys, I appreciate those comments.

Lethal, that isn't a bad idea. Maybe I will get the camera out and start doing that.

I'm with you, I don't like the white face gauges either. I paid extra to get the black face autometer set in SWMBOs 67.

Mine in the 65 are Cobalts and are black face as well.

Putting family first will pay off! I am glad to hear you are doing that.

Mel
