Anyone know where to buy a "kit/weld-it-yourself" roll cage?

I've searched just about everyone, Summit, Jegs, etc. I figure there has to be someone making these things out of their shop, but I must not be using the correct search words.

I have found already made kits for around $400, but with five fastbacks its going to add up fast.

I'd jump all over that, I haven't seen any cages, pre-built or stick built that cheap!

That's a roll bar not a cage. That's why I was asking what he really wanted. You can get 4 pts lots of places for lesser coin. FYI -- it's a little more than weld together as well. Bars should need to be cut to length/fitted at the car. One size does not fit all.

If you have a pipe bender and a TIG welder, the cost wouldn't be too bad if you do the work yourself. [nb]as long as you don't figure in the $5K for the equipment![/nb]

LOL, I sold the pipe bender Monday. I know I should have kept it, but I needed the money.

What I'm looking for is a 4 point for which I'm sorry if my terminology was incorrect.

The one on Jegs looks good, but holy crap $99 to ship!!!

If auto weld chassis is better on the shipping I might go with them........thanks for the replies.

I have an A-P 6 pt cage in mine. Not cheap, that's for sure (well, not now, but they were back in 99 when I bought it)

As I remember I used the linked below kit (but for a classic Mustang). After comparing most of the suppliers it was the best deal. Most of the kits are "cut to fit", but the size/shape of the main hoop is the only critical piece.

ERW = basic (what my cage is BTW)
DOM = better, what most sanctioning bodies require these days
Chrome moly = more expensive...so I guess it's better (no tech)
