68 fan decision

so I started working on the stang again after some time off. I worked on the motor all day yesterday and got it close to dropping in my new radiator setting it in place I placed in the electric fan I was going to use, off a mid 90's sho and its just not going to work with the room I have. I can either modify the core support and get more room, get a thinner electric fan/shroud, or just go with mechanical which I didn't want to do but at this point I might. What are your thoughts? If I did go mechanical, anyone have any recommendations on blade and shroud? Car is a 68 with a 351c motor.

I use a mechanical fan in my 68 with a Cleveland. Cooling is the furthest from my mind.

what blade/shroud are you using? also, what lower pipe did you use? I know I'm going to have to hack the upper but that will be ok as I'm adding in the filter. The lower i'm going to start searching for a flex pipe I guess? Its a 20 inch radiator with a Cleveland motor.

*A very stock, non clutch, mechanical blade. I believe 6 blade but will confirm later today with pics.
*Northern Aluminum radiator with the outlet on the driver's side
*Don't remember who the shroud is but will see if I have some documents
*Mid nineties Lincoln Cont water pump with snout on driver's side

Lower pipe as in lower radiator hose? Stock Cleveland hose with a coil inside to prevent colapse - will give you numbers later. I had to push the fan a little further forward to achieve correct fitment in the shroud. Got an extra long fan spacer and then cut it to correct length.

looking good. It looks like you have the larger 24 inch radiator. I have the 20 inch. I will start seeing what fan blade/shround I can come up with. Thanks for the pictures.
