22 kids and 6 adults from Belgium died in bus accident

Terrible news, I cannot imagine the grief of the parents that lost their children.

I can't imagine the pain of those parents either. In looking at the pics and the destruction of the bus and the tunnel it was in....I can't even remotely see what could have happened to cause that devastation. My God...

The whole of Belgium is in mourning ( 11 million people )
Special thanks to the swiss rescue men and women .
Emergency services were heavily impressed by this accident and many had tears in their eyes while helping children out of the wreckage and given them the first aid .
Some kids were transported by helicopter to hospitals probably because their injuiries where very severe.
It must be a horrible day , after 12 hours , the parents finally were notified if their kid was wounded or did passed away.
You must know that , at the arrival of the rescue teams , all the adults where dead and the kids that survived that accident didn't speak french nor german , so the rescue team decide to go for the kids and waited to communicate with the press for a later time.I can't blame them.But for the parents ,it must be a horrible time.
Cause of the accident , they don't know. Mechanical failure , human failure
22 kids dead
24 kids wounded
6 adults dead
they all live in the village of Lommel or Heverlee
 
Wow. That is horrible, I can't imagine loosing a child.

One article says the bus hit the web in the middle of the tunnel entrance, so I assume it hit the concrete at the entrance and continued to the inside of the tunnel.
