Boom's Boosted Bullitt

I do want to put the super on and run the engine as is. I agree it should be fine with a good tune.

I did get another part delivered. Doesn't look like much now, but this is the heat exchanger for the intercooler. It's specifically made for the 03-04 Cobras running the same GT500 bracket I got earlier.

Just need to decide on a coolant pump. The 03-04 Cobras and the 07-12 GT500 ran the same pump. The 13-14s got a fancy upgraded pump the same as the Cobrajets.

Figure might as well run the upgraded pump since im starting fresh with either one. The used bracket to hold the original sells for at least $100 itself nowadays, the upgraded one cones with its own bracket and it's advertised as an upgrade for the Cobra and early GT500 cars, too.

I will need to sort out the wiring when i get back, too. The 03-04 Cobras has an additional small 2 relay box down on the passenger side rail to power the pump. Might need to see about finding one of those and wiring it into my car if feasible.

Friend found the hood I want to get for sale on the spacebook. It looks it good shape, painted black. Not cheap but cheaper then new, plus I figure it's already had finishing done since it's been painted. I'd have to get it repainted to match of course. Only concerns would be making sure the bolt holes for the hinge are good.

What do you guys think? I'd be saving a few hundred bucks vs new. Just need to figure out how my friend is gonna get it back to the garage for me.

If it doesn't have any filler in it, why wouldn't you use it.

I don't forsee any issues. There's only one small ding but the hood would be repainted anyway. Just wasn't sure if there was something I'm not thinking of.

The hood is made by Cervinis and they usually have a pretty high quality for their hoods

Cervini is a good name and makes nice stuff. Thing with fiberglass hoods and large panels is they warp. Just sitting around the shape can change from laying a certain way, etc. Never seen one that was "perfect" in terms of fit and alignment. That's just how it is. Being painted doesn't mean it was fitted. Could just as easily been bought, sent to get painted and then they found out its shape was bad hence the sale. Ya never know but if being sold cheap why would a guy take a decent fitting hood off a car to sell as he's not getting much it compared to leaving it on and trying to get more for it on the car at sale? Not trying to discourage you from buying just giving you my real world experience. I bought second hand a similar hood and ended up selling it off as the job to fit it right was more than I wanted to deal with myself (cutting to relieve an aggressive bow, etc.).
