Planning on "Getting out more" this year

Mike:

It is very nice there and we often do enjoy an adult beverage while watching the sunset. No casino however !!!! LOL

I feel left out, so I will include the view I currently have.....from my office at WORK. <-- remember that word Mike? It is neither tropical or relaxing and they won't let me drink.

Hey stop with the vulgar language! It hurts my ears.
Just got back from the hot tub and pool. Heading to the back of the ship now to read my book and have another Bourbon. Its a rough life.:p

We're routing through Portugal now with the internet and it seems they don't allow my e-mail account.

Yesterday at the Azores.

Today woke up to rougher seas. Its the north Atlantic now. Heading for Ireland tomorrow, Cobh. Our excursion is a tour of...what else?....the Jameson Distillery :p Its a bit colder now, so no shorts on deck or laying out in the sun...there isn't any.

Ok we reach Cobh on 15May...very rough seas last night. Pitching and rolling. Last day in the North Atlantic.

How bad does a ship that size rock and roll? When we did the Alaska cruise we never felt anything, of course we were close to shore most of the time or within the inland passageways.

Oh its like walking and being drunk walking. All these old people are fun to watch including me. Had about 10 straight bourbons today. Hey I'm not driving this thing. We were informed that we would be late to Cobh and that excursions would be cancelled. Ah shitte...there goes our Jameson experience. Got back to our room and they rescheduled the excursion and we are still going. Can't let an Irishman miss out on a free drink.:p

Well Ireland was a bust. Got here 8 hours late since we had to circumnavigate a low pressure. So instead of getting here at 7am we arrived at 3pm. Our excursion was to leave at 1 and return at 5 for sailing at 6pm now to leave at 8:30pm. They had excursion people go to one of the restaurants 1 hour later than planned for the late arrival. We sit there from 3 until 4:30 when they try moving all these folks. We get on our bus at 5 when they say that Jameson closes at 6pm so...we get cancelled. We walk around Cobh (last port of call for the Titanic) and then back to the ship.

Well that sucks. That's one of the drawbacks of cruises. We got delayed one day on our cruise when we went to Italy. But I don't remember what we missed?

On a separate trip we flew to Ireland and got stuck in Boston for an entire day. Lost 1 day in Ireland as well.

Was this the only day in Ireland?

Yes only day in Ireland but we have been before for 2 weeks so it is what it is.
Today we're anchored off of Falmouth, Cornwall UK. Need to take water shuttle to town. No excursions planned here. Just wander and take it slow. I can do that.
