Just as easy or difficult as putting in all the other gauges. No difference.

cool i bought the gauge a long time ago but never bothered to try it out. i install it win i wire up the stock tach

Read Craigs entire thread, he didnt just stick it in there like your thinking. It would take some modification to use an aftermarket gauge with a stock cluster.

If you are asking about mine it wasn't too bad. I had the standard non-tach cluster. When I put in the 67 Cougar Tach I gave up the oil pressure and amp gauges. The 68 cluster had the oil pressure swapped with the 67 fuel gauge so I used a 68 oil pressure gauge.

The Cougar cluster wasn't as deep as the Stang so I had to cut the "cup" and weld in a 1/4" strip to make it deeper.

I then took all the gauges apart and painted them semi gloss white

then put the overlays on and painted the needles fluorescent orange with model paint

The oil pressure gauge mounted with a bracket I fabbed up that looks like the aftermarket gauge brackets, it needs to be insulated good or you will fry the instrument voltage regulator (ask me how I know this). I just plugged the original wire from the oil pressure gauge right into the 68 gauge. The lens is a modified lens from the temp or fuel gauges cuz the clock lens has a hole in it for setting the time.

I changed the bulb covers from blue-green to red-orange

Not as nice as what these other guys have but it works.
Sorry to hijack the thread Craig!
