There's a thread on VMF about it.the story is pretty vague but it would be cool if that it the real deal
Mike have you been back to the bullitt site lately? Under the latest news link Kevin Marti verified that it was one of the bullitt cars. It's not the hero car but the stunt car. The new owner Jim is a big mustang guy. He's been buying selling mustangs and parts forever. Always saw him around shows and swap meets in SoCal.ALL BS.....the original has been documented to be in a barn in KY.
Check Wofgang Kohrn's Bullitt website. He has dedicated himself to all things Bullitt. I have been in contact with him many times.

As of 2010 the car is still in the hands of its third owner. It had been stored for a long time in a barn in Kentucky, where a "spy" spotted it and took photographs which are in the hands of David Kunz, but they are not published for obvious reasons and in respect for the owners and and the "spys" family.
Do ya mean we will get to tear ass around San Francisco again? I'm down with that! Its sad no one studies history for we will repeat it.
I at first thought they were talking about the original--then I re read the article and they said the original one was here in the states and this was a double--still valuablenew news to me.
