Garage heaters

I too use a fuel oil furnace in my garage. Took my dads old Lennox when he added central air and decided to replace. Been running it for 15 yrs or so. Only use it when I plan to be out there, just has a couple wall vents in the plenum to direct air. Toasty warm in a matter of minutes. Had issues with the line freezing, after trying heat tape, insulation etc. I finally just put a 2x4 under the legs on the outlet end of the tank, now any moisture runs to the other end and freezes there. I drop it down and drain it in the spring.

Well I got an estimate to install a gas heater and it was $2,700.

Still shopping around. Looking into the Electric options yet.

This is something I have to address. My shop with 12 foot ceilings and the open loft is gonna be a chore to try and heat. Buddy has a 150000 BTU natural gas furnace he wants me to come look at buying. Without insulation, I’ve been hesitate. Probably go look at it after the holidays and buy it in anticipation of doing something next winter.
