Bought this at Knotts...It arrived today

If there were ever a single part to start a project around, I think this one could be it for a Trans Am vibe Mustang. It's the over the counter Trans Am intake for the SB:

I didn't know there was a swap meet at this show, never been to it. May have to go next year!

my advice if you use that is to go with two 500cfm edelbrock or two 570cfm holley carbs, and ditch the progressive linkage, other wise you will have issues with air/fuel mixtures until all eight barrels are open.

I actually didn't buy it at the swap meet. I struck up a conversation with the guy who had the '67 Trans Am vibe white Mustang - he had a Trans Am dual quad set-up on his car. I asked if he had any other intakes and he said he had one that was milled, run hard and put away wet. They are pretty rare, so I knew if the price was right and reflected the condition of the intake I'd buy it. Cherry Trans Am intakes go for as much as $1200 for the Mustang part # intake (there is a C60E, a C7ZX, and a Shelby lettered job) We came to a price and he shipped it to me. :)

Yes Mike, it will be a hybrid: it will burn gasoline AND rubber!
 
either way ditch the progressive linkage. note that the carb pads are both moved back to allow for distributor cap clearance using the large distributor cap, and maximum air flow to the ports. if you use progressive linkage on that intake, like i indicated you will have air/fuel mixture issues.
