Sunday family dinner

My 2nd daughter comes home from her Arizona trip and my oldest one came home from performing at Disneyland Thursday night so I thought it would be good to stroke up the BBQ and fire pit.
Menu:
St. Louis ribs
Marinated steak
Corn
Cut potatoes
Grilled onions
Salad and for dessert

Watermelon and smores

The ribs took longer than usual. I took a slab of pork ribs, cut them down to a St. Louis cut, and smoked everything for 3 hrs, followed by 2 hrs wrapped in foil then placed them on the grill I made to finished them. 1 hr there and they were more like competition ribs and fall off the bone ribs. My wife who barely eats them loved them.

I ended up taking the logs and coal left over to the firepit and dropped them on top of the stack logs and it just took off. Smores followed. Great night to have my family whole again

I would bet that placing them on the grill you made set the bark really good on the ribs.
