i bought the car in 1993 and started the build in 1994. Collecting parts, rebuilding the engine, T10, rear end. I bought SSB disks for all four corners, TTD's, too. Lowered it with a negative wedge camber kit, reverse eye rear springs, "custom" VDO gauges in a GT cluster. Plus more stuff. Anyway, life got in the way with work, then getting married, two kids and a divorce. I have 90% of the parts to get it done but sitting for so long their condition nagged at me. So I got active on a forum or two and found out about Street or Track, Opentracker and Speedhut. I decided to spend a little money and make sure the suspension was up to snuff to daily drive this thing and make an improvement or two.

My pics are out of sorts. The car is disassembled and I am putting it back together as I find time and money. The last two tax returns went to Opentracker, SOT and Speedhut. I replaced the VDO electronic speedo with a Speedhut 4" dual GPS speedo/tach. The proportions are growing on me and once I get the dash put back together I'll know better how I feel about it.

The volts, oil pressure, water temp and fuel level gauges are obviously still VDO. I'll change those if I feel the need and have the extra cash.

Tonight I put the front suspension back in, Opentracker upper and lower control arms and roller perches with the negative wedge camber kit. I hope the negative wedge kit works okay, I installed it in 1995 or so and have never driven the car. I also got the SOT strut rods. I installed a Zray engine crossmember, too. Am using the Eibach progressive rate coils I bought in 1995, if they don't work, I can change them out. Might as well try them.

The 289 was rebuilt in 1995 or 1996 with Windsor Jr heads, Comp Cams Pro magnum roller rockers and other goodies. I worried about how it looked inside so I pulled it and had the heads looked over and valve seals replaced. I like the new steel core reusable gaskets so I am using those on the oil pan and valve covers. The engine is almost ready to go back in.

We all know how life can change our plans sometimes. Glad to see you are getting back to fixing the car! Shaun at SoT and John at ORP are great to work with.
 
FYI - You can do more than just 2 pics a post.

You have be getting excited at this point. Looks good.

Nothing with those that I know of. I am dealing with some failed Comp Cams Magnum rockers. They list the opened spring pressure can't be more than 350 lbs. My springs are rated at 320 lbs @ .500" and I have a cam that lifts to .531"
Anyway, they couldn't handle it.
 
didn't mean to alarm you! I am shopping for roller rockers now so I was wondering what those were. Sorry!
 
Slow going, chasing kids at the end of the school year.

I need to clean and detail the engine compartment, and finish the hydraulic clutch master installation. I need a bigger step drill bit. I selected and ordered my radiator/fan setup and the A/C kit. The engine is almost ready to go back in, all that is left is the water pump and accessories. Then complete wiring the thing with the AAW harness. Slowly but surely.......

My goal every year is our Foundation car show in May. I think I'll make it this year, roadworthy at least.

See. I'm not the only one with an annual goal that gets missed routinely!

Keep plugging away, Rusty, you'll get there soon enough.
